Mexico is a country that offers wide destinations and choices for MICE or Meetings Industry: Congresses, Fairs, Exhibitions, Incentives and Conferences. A very good option is the city of Monterrey. It is located in northeastern Mexico, capital of the state of Nuevo Leon, is the country’s third largest city and the second in economic importance. GDP is among the highest in Mexico and Latin America. Air connectivity is excellent, so it can host international events naturally.
Monterrey has major venues, in addition to the meeting rooms located in hotels:
CINTERMEX is the largest and most modern exhibition and convention center. Right now is in process of expansion. It holds international exhibitions, fairs, conferences, conventions and seminars.
CONVEX center is a smaller Convention center that has mostly local events, but conventions and national exhibitions are also held.
The Arena Monterrey is a great venue for concerts and massive events. It has a capacity of 17600 people.
The hotel infrastructure is about 12330 rooms. With presence of some international brands: Presidente Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Novotel, Holiday Inn, Four Points, Camino Real, Quinta Real, Hampton Inn, Wyndham Inn, Best Western, City Express, among others.
The tourist attractions are interesting and varied, you can make a mixture of culture, history and nature, visiting the Museum of Mexican History, Fundidora Park and Paseo Santa Lucia as well as Grutas de Garcia for example.
The most significative experience is not the infraestructure, but the essence of the city. You may feel you are in Switzerland if you go to the mountains, You think of Paris if you go shopping because the luxury brands and stores in the shopping mall. You can have the air connectivity as any big city in USA. You may feel you are in India, China or Japan in some restaurants, you will feel in London during a rock concert in La Arena, But the people, the locals, will definitly make you feel in Monterrey, Mexico…
